Ingredients:
- 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
1 egg yolk
For the filling:
1 cup almond meal
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
2 eggs
1 teaspoon almond extract
1 pint fresh strawberries, sliced

Cooking Steps:
Make Crust: In a food processor, pulse flour, sugar, and butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add egg yolk and pulse until dough forms. Press the dough into a tart pan. Chill for 30 minutes.
Prepare Filling: Beat together almond meal, sugar, butter, eggs, and almond extract until smooth.
Assemble Tart: Spread the almond filling into the chilled crust. Arrange sliced strawberries on top. Bake: Bake in a preheated 350F (175C) oven for about 35 minutes or until the filling is set and golden.
Serve: Let cool before removing from the tart pan. Serve at room temperature or chilled.
