Cooking Steps:
Prepare Potatoes: Preheat the oven to 425F (220C). Slice each potato crosswise at 1/8-inch intervals, ensuring not to cut all the way through so that the slices stay connected at the bottom.
Season: Mix olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and thyme. Brush the mixture over and between the slices of each potato.
Bake: Place the potatoes on a baking sheet and bake for about 40 minutes, or until the edges are crispy and the centers are tender.
Serve: Remove from oven and serve hot.
